Helium is a colorless, tasteless, odorless noble gas with the chemical formula He that has an extremely low boiling and melting point and is the most difficult of all gases to liquefy. The chemical properties of helium are very inert, and it is difficult to react with other substances under normal circumstances. Because of these properties, helium is used in a wide variety of applications:
 

1. The field of cryogenics. Helium's low boiling point and chemical inertness make it ideal for ultra-low temperature coolants, such as cooling media and cleaning agents for nuclear magnetic resonance equipment.
2. The space industry. Helium is used to clean and seal the liquid hydrogen fuel systems of rockets and spacecraft.
3. The electronics industry. In the manufacturing of semiconductors, liquid crystal panels and fiber optic wires, helium is used for rapid cooling of components and also as a protective gas.
4. The medical field. Helium is of great importance for medical diagnosis as a cooling medium in nuclear magnetic resonance equipment.
5. Scientific research. Helium gas has important applications in superconducting technology, particle accelerators, maglev trains and other fields.
