Product Description:
| Sulfur hexafluoride is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula SF6. It is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic, non-flammable stable gas at normal temperature and pressure. It is a new generation of ultra-high voltage insulating dielectric material. As a good gas insulator, it is mainly used for arc extinguishing in high-voltage switches, and as an insulating material in large-capacity transformers and high-voltage cables. |

Sulfur hexafluoride gas can be used in electrical insulation, arc extinguishing, corrosion prevention, cooling, sealing and other applications.
1. Electrical insulation:Sulfur hexafluoride has higher electrical breakdown strength and lower electron density, making it an excellent electrical insulating medium. The use of sulfur hexafluoride as an insulating medium can reduce the heat generated when the current passes through and reduce the loss of equipment. Suitable for high voltage power equipment to improve safety and efficiency.
2. Extinguish the arc:Sulfur hexafluoride can rapidly capture and carry away charged particles in the arc, thus inhibiting the development of the arc. The fault current in the power system can be effectively controlled by using the arc extinguishing characteristic of sulfur hexafluoride to protect the equipment from damage. Commonly used in switchgear, transformer and other equipment.
3. Anti-corrosion:Sulfur hexafluoride has good passivation effect on metal surface and can effectively prevent oxidation corrosion.
